Biography
My lab investigates enveloped virus/host interactions. The current areas of focus include: 1) virus interactions with cell surface receptors, 2) mechanisms of viral tropism and resulting pathogenesis and 3) innate immune responses to enveloped viruses. We primarily utilize filoviruses for these studies, but have recently extended this work to Zika virus investigations, enhancing the scope and timeliness of our studies.
