Role of TRAF3 in Multiple Myeloma and B-cell Homeostasis

TRAF3 is an important regulator of B-cell activation and homeostasis. Inhibition of TRAF3 expression in mice leads to B-cell hyperplasia. In addition, mutations in the TRAF3 gene leading to the loss of function have been observed in multiple myeloma. Our goal is to further elucidate the mechanism behind TRAF3-mediated B-cell signaling and identify its potential role in pathogenesis of multiple myeloma.
