My research focuses on understanding immune and epithelial mechanisms that drive chronic lung disease. Specifically, my project investigates the role of Triggering Receptor Expressed on Myeloid cells 1 (TREM-1) in regulating responses during airway inflammation. In parallel, I study how dynamic changes in keratin expression following lung transplantation may serve as a biomarker to assess downstream complications.
