Every year the Office of the Vice President for Research showcases researchers, scholars, and creators from across the University of Iowa in their annual Dare to Discover campaign. This year, the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Immunology is honored to have 2 students featured. 

Sam Connell, 6th year Immunology PhD candidate in the Jabbari Lab, is uncovering the role of T cells, a type of white blood cell, in the development of the autoimmune disease Alopecia areata.
